PSAT/PreACT

The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) and PreACT are not just practice tests for the SAT and ACT, respectively, they're also tools to help you understand your college readiness. Identifying your strengths and areas for improvement can be great methods to finding success. (In addition, juniors who take the PSAT can be entered into the National Merit Scholarship Program.) The PSAT is administered to 10th and 11th graders every fall and the PreACT is given to 10th graders only every spring; both exams are free for Pierson students. Approximately six weeks after your test, you'll receive a detailed score report explaining how you did.

To better understand your score, talk to your counselor or view the sample score reports attached to this page. To learn more about the PSAT and PreACT, you can also visit The College Board's website, The National Merit Scholarship Corporation , or The PreACT website.
