Applying to college? Get that list together and include dates/important information for yourself. Stay organized using SCOIR and a google sheet (shared via Google Drive)
Plan your SAT or ACT testing for the fall semester. Check the dates of the exams and the requirements from your college lists
Visit college campuses - VIRTUALLY! If you’ve been holding out on doing this STOP! These visit opportunities and interviews with college admissions counselors are amazing. Check out your favorite college and learn the inside scoop!
Register for your SCOIR account and update your profile with activities to make a simple resume you will use for your college applications.

Set up your “Senior Check In” meeting with Ms. Motto and request a counselor letter of recommendation.
Request Teacher Letters of Recommendation (in person/via email and through SCOIR)
Class rank will be available as well as official transcripts mid-late September
Start academically strong. Colleges will be asking to see your grades!
Finalize your essay ideas and begin editing essays you’ve written
Create a personal timeline to complete applications AHEAD of deadlines

Narrow your college list or consider other plans (military career? Vocational education?)
Attend college fairs
Work on your applications
October 1 the FAFSA opens for completion. If you are applying for financial aid check what is required for your college. It could be the FAFSA alone or the FAFSA and another document like the CSS Profile. Review what is required and college deadlines for these and other scholarships.
Many Early Action and Early Decision deadlines are November 1 and November 15. Prepare to submit your application in a timely manner.
November -January
Quarter 1 ends right around Thanksgiving. Be sure your grades are where you want them to be to show your colleges your strengths!
