Long Island Teen Institute/HUGS

The Long Island Teen Institute (LITI), sponsored by Human Understanding & Growth Services (HUGS), is a weekend-long youth leadership conference for teenagers who have the potential to be agents of change in their communities and schools. Their mission is to guide young people to realize their potential and empower them to make healthy choices instead of high-risk ones. Pierson High School has been sending our students to LITI for many years now and they're always looking for new recruits!

There are typically three conferences held per school year, all at Camp Quinipet in Shelter Island. The dates of this year's trips are:

January 17-20, 2020

March 27-29, 2020

May 8-10, 2020
