Social studies teacher Mr. Favreau had the 8th grade team simulate the stock market to get a better understanding of the crash in '29. I put together a program that would track the number of shares and prices for the young traders (seen above).

Above, Meg is using a GeoGebra applet and a BASIC program that I wrote so kids could demonstrate to Mr. Favreau that they understood how to calculate the percent decrease or the percent increase of their mock stock prices.
