In April, we celebrated Delta-Day. Two of the biggest topics throughout the year have been linear and quadratic polynomial equations. Finding orbits of functions connects the two. Will is making a cobweb to graphically determine the orbit of a given function.
Danielle is algebraically determining that same orbit using the quadratic formula (another topic we covered this year).
Chandler is taking on the challenge to determine what parameters cause the orbits to bifurcate using a cobweb program I wrote. The kids' answers to this challenge can be tested for accuracy using the constant delta (seen at the top of the page).
