Paper folding

Two of the biggest topics in math are linear and quadratic polynomial equations. In the picture, kids are paper folding to see how the two topics are connected. Linear equations are represented by creases and the resulting envelope (not the kind in which you mail letters) represents a quadratic equation. With a combination origami, engineering and math background, Mr. Amory (in the green shirt) was kind enough to join us as a guest teacher.
