Tomatillos

If you've only ever had the large green tomatillos that are available in the grocery, than these small purple ones are a revelation. They are sweet and are best treated as a fruit. I like to make a refrigerator pickle with jalepenos, sweet peppers, garlic, cumin, oregano, cider vinegar, and a little sugar. I think these are utterly delicious and like to cut them finely and use as a relish for tacos, bratwurst, and hot dogs.
