Year 0-1: New Entrant testing, Running Records and JAM, Asttle Writing sample March and October

Year 2: 6 Year Surveys & Running Records, JAM March and October, Asttle Writing sample March and October

Year 3-8: PATs for reading and maths March and November, Running Records Mid and End of Year, Gloss and Asttle Writing Samples in March and October

ESOL : Booklets for all identified children plus moderation information

Formative assessment needs to be realistic and practical for teaching and learning.

PATs for reading and maths and eAsttle Writing samples to be carried out in classrooms

1. Progressions - individual student records in Dashboard - Reading/Writing and Maths

2. JAM and Gloss data beginning and end of year recorded on School spreadsheet

4. Reports with OTJs written in report Writer

5. Classroom Interruptions

  1. P.A. System should be adults only except for specific monitors

12. School Development Focus

Pt England's development focus will be:

  • High Behavioural Engagement and High Cognitive Engagement to produce acceleration.

    • This will be the subject of Staff Meetings and Staff Professional Development in 2015.

  • Manaiakalani

Subsidiary focii will be:

  • re-development of Inquiry both for students and staff

  • development of the teacher planning module

  • sustaining improvement in Writing/Reading

13. Cluster Wide Developments

  • The Manaiakalani Cluster, of which Pt England is the initiating school, will move into its 8th operational year, with Manaiakalani Teams operating in the school supported by our very own Facilitators Michelle George and Helen King.

  • The focus is on the Integration and development of Learn, Create, Share with the 3 R's, now including implementing 1:1 ipads in all classes in Y1 - 3

  • The Literacy Cycle is a foundation framework for this work which will continue through 2015.

  • We are continuing to move ahead with completion of community wireless and increased home - school connectivity.
