The Royal Oak - events

 1965 and another charity fund raiser. This giant Easter Egg was raffled in the bar. Behind the bar Eric and Doreen Smith and ,pint in hand, George Smy keep a watchful eye. (Pic.Ron Arthurton).

Looking after the pennies. Retired landlord Eric Smith and his wife Doreen, centre, return to count the proceeds of the "Pile of Pennies", with Eileen Smy. Another retirement.  November 12th 1974 and John and Doreen Howlett step down after 8 years behind the bar.
