Tatjana Beck

Tatjana is an ecologist with a keen interest in conservation, data visualization, and ornithology. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between these disciplines through her pursuit of a MS in Geography and GIS Certification at Portland State University. With experience as a seabird ecologist, Tatjana has honed her fieldwork skills and now focuses on collaborating with decision-makers to produce actionable research. Her thesis focuses on bird community responses to historical wildfires in the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest and aims to inform proactive conservation strategies in the face of increasing wildfire frequency and intensity. In her free time, she enjoys engaging in various outdoor activities, exploring art through different mediums, and spending time with loved ones.
