My research is broadly focused on assessing conifer forest resilience and vulnerability to changing climate and disturbance patterns (e.g., wildfire, insects, drought) in the Pacific Northwest and Western U.S. My research incorporates field-based and GIS methods for assessing ecological trends at varying spatial and time scales. Currently for my PhD, I'm investigating postfire delayed mortality of and regeneration from forest fire refugia after large severe wildfires.

When I'm not counting post-fire seedlings, I enjoy hanging out with my dog, hiking and climbing during the summer, and snowboarding in the winter.
