I am a landscape ecologist with research interests in spatial analysis of biodiversity and ecosystem services, social-ecological systems, and conservation planning and assessment. My PhD research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focused on the spatial dynamics of ecosystem services (the benefits people get from nature) in the Southern Appalachians.

As a postdoctoral researcher at Boise State University, I analyzed the contribution of conservation easements to landscape-scale conservation goals and, using surveys of ranchers, assessed land management behaviors, decision-making and attitudes in the High Divide of ID and MT. In my current position as a postdoctoral research associate with PSU and TNC I will focus on natural climate solutions in the Pacific Northwest.

I grew up in Vermont and spend most of my non-working hours adventuring outside with my partner, Neal, and our dog.
