Regular School Committee meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Additional meetings generally are required during budget season (January-March) and may be called by the Chair, as necessary.

**Following MA legislation, the law provides that "a public body may allow remote participation by all members in any meeting of the public body and a quorum of the body and the chair shall not be required to be physically present at a specific meeting location."

Packets that include the agenda, action items, and informational material to be reviewed/discussed at School Committee meetings are available online on the Friday prior to the Wednesday meeting date (https://sites.google.com/a/mohawkschools.org/mohawk-school-committee/packets).
Members are notified by the School Committee Secretary when these materials are posted. Members without internet access will be provided with hard-copy packets upon request to the School Committee Secretary.
School Committee members are expected to attend all School Committee meetings. If you are unable to attend a meeting, please notify the School Committee Secretary as soon as possible (no less than 48 hours prior to the meeting).
The School Committee also encourages members to attend the monthly professional development sessions designed specifically for School Committee members. These sessions are typically held on the last Tuesday of the month. Topics are chosen by the Committee and presented by members, administrators, educators or third-parties, depending upon the content. Previous sessions have focused on such topics as school finance, superintendent evaluations and the use of data in assessing student performance.
