REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION
ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES
The Reasonable Accommodation Guidelines provide department management, supervisors, and HR professionals with operational procedures for evaluating, implementing, and documenting workplace accommodations. Designed to ensure compliance with Federal (ADA, PWFA, PUMP Act) and State (FEHA) requirements, this guide outlines the step-by-step interactive process to support employees and applicants with protected needs.
Because accommodation requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on specific job functions and functional limitations, supervisors and coordinators are encouraged to reference these guidelines and consult with departmental HR or the Personnel Department throughout the process.
