• Yoshi Miyazawa and Thomas Giambelluca presented their research at the Ecological Society of America (ESA) Annual Meeting in Baltimore, August 10-14.

• Abby Frazier, Thomas Giambelluca, Henry Diaz and Heidi Needham published their paper entitled "Comparison of Geostatistical Approaches to Spatially Interpolate Month-Year Rainfall for the Hawaiian Islands" in the International Journal of Climatology.

• Ryan Longman, Thomas Giambelluca, Mike Nullet and Lloyd Loope released their Climatology Report of Haleakalā, available for download here.

• Abby Frazier and Thomas Giambelluca presented their research at the Hawai‘i Ecosystems Meeting in Hilo, July 9-10.

• Aurora Kagawa was accepted to the competitive Iso-Camp in Salt Lake City, Utah to study stable isotope biogeochemistry and ecology, June 15-26 - Congratulations!

• Tom Giambelluca attended a tropical forest meeting in Panama in June.

• Kalyn Dorheim started as a summer intern with the Ecohydrology Lab in June, based in Haleakalā National Park. She will be working with the Forest Line project and will help us establish a site to study the invasive tree pinus radiata. Welcome Kalyn!
