  • Han Tseng, Heidi Needham, Abby Frazier, and Tom Giambelluca presented at the AGU Fall Meeting in New Orleans, LA, Dec. 11-15, 2017.

  • Abby Frazier, Oliver Elison Timm, Tom Giambelluca and Henry Diaz published their paper "The influence of ENSO, PDO and PNA on secular rainfall variations in Hawai‘i" in the journal Climate Dynamics, congratulations! (November 2017)

  • Aurora Kagawa-Viviani and Han Tseng published their paper "Advancing ecohydrology in the changing tropics: Perspectives from early career scientists" in the journal Ecohydrology, congratulations! (November 2017)

  • Tom Giambelluca and Abby Frazier traveled to Haleakalā, Maui to film a segment of "Voice of the Sea" about their Pacific Islands Climate Science Center (PICSC)-funded research. The full episode airs in Summer 2018.

  • Abby Frazier will be the featured presenter at the Environment Hawai‘i Annual Dinner on Oct. 20 at the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center in Hilo, HI from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

  • Abby Frazier will present a National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center (NCCWSC) webinar on Sept. 18 at 9:00 am HST, titled "Rainfall Variability and Drought in the Hawaiian Islands".

  • Aurora Kagawa-Viviani co-organized a workshop, "Methods in Stable Isotope Ecohydrology" August 15-16, attended by over 20 individuals from across the UHM campus and representing state and federal agencies.
