This script copies the horizon points from the previous slice. It then copies these points into the current slice with a time/depth offset.
This script is attached to the bottom of this article.
Make sure you have defined a "Python Scripts" directory in Tools->Options->Environment->Paths
Store your script in that directory, under a folder named "Contextual_XSection_Horizon_Layer". Make sure the folder name is correct.
Go to Tools->Options->Environment->Python Scripts and click "Refresh from Disk". Your script should be listed automatically.
Open or create a horizon layer in an XSection window. Check the option in the menu to show out of plane sections; this will show the horizon points in the previous slice, making the effect easier to show.
Increment the seismic layer. Right click on the window and select "Copy Previous Slice Points With Time Shift" from the contextual menu.
The points from the previous slice are copied into the current slice, one second lower.
