Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Finished main fabrication of sampler (besides mesh bags)
Currently finishing up fabrication of dispenser - tubing has a lot of friction with the wire so it is hard to pull it through, so we are getting new tubing that will work better
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Got parts for sampler (brass mesh, brass screws, etc.)
Fabricated sampler
Cut tubing used for dispenser
Bought hose clamps to attach tubing to sampling
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Cut mesh bags to correct size (Tanima)
Swage wires to be used with tubing (David)
Buy new tubing with less friction (Joseph)
Buy more fishing line and mesh bags (Bridget)

Meeting on 5/23:
Recommended testing at UCSD CanyonView Pool instead of at the Del Mar Lagoon and we will likely test there
Miscommunication about number of wires to be used. Dr.T and Pedro though 4, but we clarified that it was only 2
Set-up sponsor presentation during week 10 & go there to present to them
Tried to set up a meeting for this week: not many times where all of us are free, will most likely present on the weekend or early next week if needed
Website and report can be slightly altered up until the poster session (week 11), but 99% should be completed one week prior
Dr. T. and Pedro wanted updates on our project throughout this week
Have emailed them a few times to update them on progress

Risks and Areas of Concern
Amount of friction between pulling cord and PVC tubing is too high - cannot pull wires through tubing easily
Cord length: 25', Tubing length: 20'
Likely will not get to mount camera before the end of the quarter - Chuck and Kara have not been responding for a time to get the camera from them
Possibility that we need to use weights; will likely mount them to the sampler mesh wire
