Mission Statement
The Denver Academy Library's primary mission is to deliver information services to its students, parents, faculty, and staff that provide comprehensive support of the school and its overall mission. The secondary missions of the DA Library are to provide information services to the community on the topic of learning diversity and the education of diverse learners and to instill in its patrons a love of information.
About the Librarian
Jolene Gutierrez has been the librarian at Denver Academy for the past 25 years and has seen lots of changes in the library, including moving from paper card catalogs to a computerized library system and boxing up the entire library to move to the Iliff campus.Â
Jolene has a Master's Degree in Library Science from Emporia State University and holds a Colorado Teacher's License with endorsements in K-12 School Library Media and Secondary English Language Arts. She is married and has 2 children and 3 dogs.
