Speech and Drama Club

Speech and drama is an opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to showcase their acting and speaking talents. Students can choose from a wide variety of categories in which to perform, including monologues, duets, trios, dramatic presentations, improvisation, and much more. Throughout December, January, and February, students rehearse their chosen pieces with a speech and drama coach. All their hard work culminates in a performance at the West 40 Speech and Drama Festival, where they are evaluated by a judge and receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place score.
