If you are a student wanting to enroll in any of our CTS courses offered through this website, please contact your principal.
If you are a school,
make sure to give interested students a Paper version of both these documents:
the specific Registration Form for the course (located under the appropriate link at the left).
Students should take these home, parents should complete and sign the registration form, then students hand-in the forms to their school.
Schools approve the students then come back to this site to enroll them, using the on-line registration process on the appropriate course page at the left.

Student Information Package includes:
Class Times.
Lakeland College, Vermilion campus: (Welding, Carpentry, Mechanics, Design, Electrical) class time are 8:30 - 3:00 (classes are open at 8:00am)
Lakeland College, Lloydminster campus (Esthetics, Hairstyling) class time is 8:30 - 3:00 (first class day, please show at meeting location at 8:00-8:15am)
Attendance.
It is expected that students will attend all sessions of the course. If for some reason, you are unable to, it is important that you contact your school coordinator to inform the Lakeland instructors so that alternate arrangements can be made. As these courses occur during the school day, you are responsible for ensuring that you catch up on any school classes missed.
These days are not counted as school absences as students are receiving instruction at another venue.
Photo / Video waiver form.
Students/parents are required to have complete, sign and hand-in the Lakeland College photo/video waiver form. (Students hand-in to instructor first day of class)
Caution Fees.
Schools may require the payment of a caution fee when registering for a Lakeland course.
The school will be charged the full tuition by Lakeland College for any student who drops a course less than ten instructional days prior to the start of the course. A student is required to attend all campus sessions and complete assigned out-of-class work to be given credits for the course..
Supplies.
Students pay a Materials Fee to their school upon registration which typically covers supplies used in the delivery of the course. The student’s personal protective equipment (PPE) is not covered by this fee, and only some of these courses require this type of student equipment - refer to the next item below, or check the course information for details.
Student Equipment.
Students are required to have proper safety equipment (PPE) to participate in vocational courses. This is necessary for Carpentry, Mechanics, Welding and Electrical.
This includes:
• Coveralls
• Steel toe boots
• Safety glasses
In addition, students in these courses must complete the on-line Lakeland College site specific WHMIS course prior to the first day of instruction.
WHMIS.
Lakeland College requires the completion of an online WHMIS course prior to instruction. Login information and instructions are available from your school coordinator. (Or find the WHMIS link at the left.)
Transportation.
Students must provide their own transportation in accordance with Buffalo Trail Public Schools Transportation Policy 701.4AP Student Transportation for Curricular or Extracurricular Trips. Schools are required to have on file, a signed copy of Transportation in Private Vehicles permission form (from their students).
Parking.
Vermilion Campus: Parking for students taking Lakeland courses at the Vermilion campus is located behind the Trades Centre. Please DO NOT park in spots marked "reserved". All others are first come, first served.
Lloydminster Campus: Parking is near the front entrance. Please note images below.

For Carpentry, Mechanics, Welding, and Electrical: at the large Door 10 behind the TRADES building (by the parking - see image below) OR, the Student Lounge Area of the Trades Centre (the “Pit”) - (click here to view "The Pit") Your school will advise you regarding the current location.
For Interior Design classes, please report to the Main reception, Alumni Hall for directions.
If you are unsure of any location, check in at main reception.
