🔌 Electrical
We have 2 offerings of electrician courses through our Lakeland / BTPS partnership. Through participation in these courses, students does not need previous experience in order to participate and learn about the electrical trade. All courses give access to Lakeland College's state of the art shops and are taught by ticketed instructors.
With the exceptions noted below, Electrician courses are not leveled for required pre-requisites meaning that Level 1 is not required to be taken to register in Level 2.
Residential Electrical (Level 1), as the name implies, has a Residential focus.
The Electromagnetic Industrial (Level 2) has an Industrial Magnetic Electrical focus.
We encourage students to take both levels so that they have exposure to both fields, as this will assist students in making an informed decision about which route to pursue if interested in an electrical trade.
