🔧 Mechanics/Automotive
We offer four levels of mechanics courses through our Lakeland / BTPS partnership. Through participation in these courses, students build skills in mechanics, even with no previous experience in the trade. All courses give access to Lakeland College's state of the art shops and are taught by ticketed instructors.
Registration Procedure

Student Information Package: includes campus information and student expectations
Complete and sign the Registration Paper - Form
Return completed form to the school principal for approval
The school will submit student information to through on-line registration form (button below)
(access is ONLY for school administrators, submissions by anyone other than a school administrator will not be authorized)
The school will be notified by Central Services as quickly as possible about registration status.
Please phone or email Central, if assistance is required.
Additional Info: Next year registrations are open until the end of June (on a first come first serve basis). Registrations re-open when the next school year starts.
Note: Level 1 is pre-requisite for entry into Level 2.
Level 2 is pre-requisite for entry into Level 3.
Level 4 does not have a pre-requisite.

Material Fees: $75
Course Fees: Collection of fees is a site-based decision. Schools will be charged full course fees for students failing to withdraw two weeks prior to course.
Additional Info:
Students are required to wear appropriate clothing; coveralls, steel-toed safety boots and safety goggles for mechanics, electrical carpentry and welding.
Students are welcome to eat at the Lakeland cafeteria, but should be warned that it is very busy during the lunch hour and students may not have time to order and eat food and be back in class by 12:30. It is recommended that students bring lunch. During COVID restrictions, the cafeteria is not available to our students.
On the first day of classes, students meet in “the pit” in the Trades Centre. Reception and or Lakeland students will be able to direct you to this location. During COVID restrictions, students will meet near Automotive #10 large door at the back of the Trades building (see map)
Parking is available for students on the southeast side of the Trades building.
Binders containing Automotive manuals for students will be housed at Lakeland College's Vermilion campus.
