Rising Tides, Rising Voices: A Panel on Climate Justice - Apr. 23, 2018

Post date: Apr 04, 2018 4:5:13 PM

From UC Berkeley's Student Environmental Resource Center:

Both environmental degradation and environmental benefits are unevenly distributed along racial and economic lines. This intersection of environmental and social justice is something that we must put at the forefront of our environmental movement. Join UC Berkeley's Student Environmental Resource Center (SERC) in a panel on climate justice, where we will discuss these intersections, their impacts, and what we must do to ensure that the environmental movement is fighting for those most marginalized.

Joining us on this panel are Jessica Tovar from Local Clean Energy Alliance, Alvaro Sanchez from the Greenlining Institute, Rachel Morello-Frosch from UC Berkeley, and Esther Goolsby from the Communities for a Better Environment.

Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
