Purpose of the Position:
To assist with the day to day database management of the Development customer relationship management (CRM) software as well as the conversion from the Salesforce CRM to the Bloomerang CRM. There will be a focused effort on making sure that the data conversion is being accurately tracked and recording currently unentered data, such as for Houses, and interactions with donors and prospects in contact reports. These highlight the main agreements and discussion points exchanged with the BSC representative and donor/prospect, as well as the interests of the donor or prospect.
Responsibilities Include:
Gift entry and batching of gifts for data uploads, as well as ancillary data entry pertaining to the gifts as required.
Preparation of gift acknowledgements on a timely basis.
Appropriate placement in the database in consideration of categories such as soft credit identification, foundations, grants, donor advised funds, corporations, and planned gifts.
Working with donor agencies to maintain up to date service agreements, and making modifications as necessary to changes in process
Coordination with the Accounting Department in gift entry and reconciliation of reports monthly.
Providing increased data entry around the affiliations of the donors and their philanthropic interests, as well as their activities with the BSC to include managing event involvement and volunteer engagement around specific projects.
Building out the relationship sectors of the CRM software to better reflect the range of gifts, interactions, and other activities of donors and prospects.
Organizing lists for fundraising events, keeping track of participation and RSVP’s.
Required Skills:
Focus on accuracy of data entry around gift details.
Experience maneuvering within data systems or processes, ideally software systems.
Ease with seeking and conveying information from donors and prospects when clarification is required.
Editing skills for accurate presentation of acknowledgement information.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of fundraising CRM software categories and functions.
Familiarity with gifts in terms of forms of giving.
