NOTE: Each task is based on one civics topic and consists of:
Three 1-point constructed-response questions
One 4-point constructed-response question
Seven 1-point selected-response questions which include multiple-choice, multiple-select, and technology-enhanced items

Each school will have 1 of 7 pre-assigned civics topics (see spreadsheet to the right)

What you can do: To prepare for the test, there are optional “local-level” performance tasks that we have access to. They can be done collaboratively by groups of students over 1-2 class periods and can be a part of each unit. Here is a link to the sample materials.
