In this course we explore the Spanish speaking-world through literature, authentic reading, documentaries and Spanish TV series. We will spend time reviewing grammar from previous levels, but the main goal of the course is to increase our Spanish communication skills related to global topics such as the environment, sports and globalization.
This class is a dual credit course through the CAPP program at UW-Oshkosh, however students are not required to participate in the CAPP program to take the course. The CAPP program is a dual-credit option offered through UW-Oshkosh and allows students to take the grade they earn at BHS and put it on their UW-Oshkosh transcript. The credits can then transfer to many other universities across the country, with some stipulations. If taking the course for CAPP credit, the cost will be $167 (a discounted rate will occur for students accessing free/reduced lunch). Students taking the course as a CAPP course will receive 5 college credits for passing the class, additionally those that receive a B or better will receive 11 retroactive credits, for a total of 16 credits.
