Careers in education and training involve planning, managing, and providing education and training services, as well as related learning support services.
Planning, managing and providing therapeutic services, diagnostic services, health informatics, support services, and biotechnology research and development are all functions of health science careers.
Planning, managing and providing legal, public safety and protective services and homeland security are some of the functions of law, public safety, corrections and security careers. This field includes professional and technical support services.

75410 Physical Education 1 - Team and Fitness Activities

Includes fitness components, aerobic activities, basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, Speedball, field games, low organized games, softball, strength and conditioning.

75420 Physical Education 2 - Team and Lifetime Activities

Prerequisite: PE1, Lifetime Fitness or Strength and Conditioning
This junior level course includes fitness components, low organized games, outdoor recreational games, aquatic activities, consumer fitness, volleyball, strength and conditioning.

75430 Physical Education 3 - Lifetime Activities and Individual Sports

This senior level course includes fitness components, badminton, bowling, consumer fitness, tennis, disc golf, fishing, and archery.

75440/75441 Strength and Conditioning
0.5 credit - 1 semester
Grades: 9-12
Prerequisite: No prerequisite for 9th-grade students. For 10-12 grade, earn A's in previous physical education courses to be considered.
This Advanced Physical Education class is offered to the student-athlete as an alternative to PE 1, PE 2, or PE 3. Students who are interested in an intensive program to improve their fitness level and athletic abilities through functional training, weight training, plyometrics, flexibility, and speed training. The course will provide students with a well-rounded knowledge base to make educated decisions regarding their bodies to develop their own fitness programs.

75450 Lifetime Fitness
0.5 credit - 1 semester
Grades: 10-12
Prerequisite: PE1 or Strength and Conditioning
In order to retake Lifetime Fitness, students must have received a grade of at least an A- in a prior semester.
This class is offered to students who have completed PE1 or Strength and Conditioning and is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn and participate in "movement" based activities as well as creating personalized fitness plans. Activities/topics may include; components of fitness, fitness assessments, strength training, yoga, core training and fitness-related activities. These activities are designed to provide motivation to develop and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
