PPfT Leadership Pathways
Leadership Pathways is an optional professional learning opportunity within the Professional Pathways for Teachers (PPfT) Human Capital System. This rigorous, two-year program supports teachers’ professional growth, development, and leadership in specific district priority areas.
Each Leadership Pathway consists of four micro-credentials. The teachers we recognize on this site completed one micro-credential per semester over the course of two years. The process for each micro-credential includes
Engaging in 12 hours of specific professional learning designed by district content experts,
Applying that learning to their daily classroom interactions, and
Reflecting on the impact the application had on their practice and student learning.
Each Leadership Pathway is designed to empower and grow participating AISD teachers, allowing them to become leaders on their campus or throughout the district.
Leadership Pathways are optional, and these teachers who pursued Leadership Pathways were required to engage in the learning activities outside of their regular teaching duties.
We celebrate the diligence and hard work that these amazing educators have put in over the last two years! We know they have become leaders on their campuses and throughout Austin ISD!
