OBJECTIVE

Student will communicate with word processing tools.

ASSIGNMENT

  • Minimums for the Newsletter Assignment (or flier):

  • One-page (Possible topic: Philosophy of Education, Ideal Classroom)

  • Title (using WordArt or similar if possible)

  • Two columns in the document

  • Two sizes and/or styles of text

  • One picture or graphic or QR Code

  • Post to web

  • Modify website to include access to the product

Note: You are free to use any word processing tool you prefer for the Newsletter Assignment.(Examples: Microsoft Word, Google Document, OpenOffice Writer, Microsoft Publisher, etc...)(The final file may be posted as PDF file.)


  • Minimums for Field Experience Reflection Google Document Assignment:

    • Create a Google Document

    • Reflect on your Alternative Field Experiences (previously assigned) and Individual Field Placement

      • IF you have a Field Experiences product due for EDUC 210, that product, in the form of a Google Document, would be accepted for this assignment

      • IF NOT an acceptable structure for the "focus for your reflection on your individual field visit" can be found at EDUC 210/211 ORIENTATION

      • Share Google Document for UNCA domain users to view

      • (DO NOT share reflections to Public.)

      • (DO NOT share the document(s) with me personally.)

      • Modify website to include access to product

Select audience appropriate page border.

    • Insert | Text | WordArt

      • Type title text.

      • Highlight text.

  • Page Layout | Page Background | Page Borders

      • Type line of text.

      • Highlight text.

  • Select desired text or paragraph border style.

  • Apply to: text or paragraph.

  • Page Layout | Page Setup | Columns? | More Columns...

  • Type several paragraphs of text.

  • Highlight text.

  • Select column options.

  • Apply to: options.

  • Insert | Illustrations | Online Pictures

  • (Clip Art, "Online Pictures", in Word 2013 is available online and is no longer stored on your local machine.)

  • Click location of clip art or image.

  • (Double click if there is no text.)

  • Select Online Pictures.

  • Select image.

  • Select Insert.

  • Manipulate image with Picture Toolbar.

  • References | Citations & Bibliography | Insert Citation

  • File | Save As | Other Formats
