When you want to plant a flower the first step is to pick the kind you want. You want to choose based on season, climate, soil type, and personal preferance.

Remove weeds and start raking your soil to get it ready. You can then add nutrients to the soil to help with the flower health when you plant it.

Hold the plant in one hand and the pot in the other. Carefully squeeze and tap the pot while slightly tipping and pulling the plant.

Add fresh soil to the bed and then rake it to loosen up the soil for opptimal plant growth.

Use a shovel to dig a hole deep enough to fit the flower. Gently cover the roots with soil and press the soil around the plant. 

After you plant your flower mulch it with 1-3 inches of bark chips or any other organic mulch. This helps with weed prevention and conserving water.
