At just 11 years old Sabrina Carpenter landed her first acting role in an episode of the famous TV series Law and Order. After this role Sabrina appeared in many more movies and TV shows. She was in the movie Gulliver Quinn, the TV show The Goodwin Games, an episode of the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black and she even got a singing role in the animated children's TV show Sofia the First. It was clear that at such a young age Sabrina loved acting and she was going to try to continue her acting career.
Sabrina Carpenter really made her name known to the world when she got the main role in the Disney Channel Series Girl Meets World, a reboot of the series Boy Meets World. She first sang her famous song Espresso at the Coachella musical festival of April 2024. Sabrina Carpenter told a Hollywood reporter after her stage performance of Espresso “I really didn’t know if it would connect, but the sentiment and the sound of the song and the confidence that it kind of just carries along with it was something that I really believed in…. So I had literally no idea that anyone would like it, but I liked it.”
The song Espresso was in Sabrina Carpenter's sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet. Another one of Sabrina’s biggest hits was in that album, Please Please Please. The album Short n’ Sweet gave Sabrina a spot as one of the 2025 grammy nominees. Sabrina was nominated for four categories in total. She was nominated for Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Although Sabrina Carpenter was nominated for many categories she did not win all of them.
