I’ve been going to water parks since I was little and always had a good time! I have made many memories with my family at water parks over the years, but I have always wondered what are some of the best water parks? What would these even look like compared to a normal water park? Well in this article you will be looking at the best water parks of 2025!
According to the article “Best Outdoor Water Park” the top four water parks of 2025 are:
Aquatica San Antonio | San Antonio, TX
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park | Lake Buena Vista, FL
Dollywood's Splash Country | Pigeon Forge, TN
Holiday World & Splashin' Safari | Santa Claus, IN
If you looked the names up you would see a variety of pictures, and overall ratings that are all great. Aquatica San Antonio is located in San Antonio, Texas and has an overall rating of 4.6 stars. That's a great rating for a water park. It has approximately 18 slides, two wave pools and some other regular pools. It is also really cool because it has places where you can see sea life, like fish, stingrays and many more creatures! In the end, Aquatica San Antonio is a great water park that gets about 650,000 visits per year.
If that didn't sound great to you, then you might love Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It has an overall rating of 4.7 stars, which is even better than the Aquatica San Antonio park. It has around 15 water slides, with two main pools. This water park is based on the idea that a fake typhoon destroyed a once nice paradise leaving the debris and wreckage behind.
There are even more parks to enjoy! Such as Dollywood's Splash Country, which has a great overall rating of 4.5 stars and is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It has a total of 16 rides, lots of slides and many other attractions! Including the show stopping main pool, at 8000 square feet and with multiple waterfalls. In my opinion it sounds like a great park to go to. Tickets cost about $63 per person.
There are two more awesome parks to go! The next park is the wonderful Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana. It has a good overall rating of 4.6 stars, tying with Aquatica San Antonio. It has 49 attractions, including three huge water slides and 6 roller coasters. The tickets cost about $49 a person. While researching about the park I saw lots of fun mascots and jungle themed attractions, making this the perfect place for kids. (This is why I added it to the list.)
After reading about all of these water parks my personal favorite is Dollywood's Splash Country. This is because I like the huge pools and waterfalls, but very closely behind in second place was Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari. This is because this water park just seems super fun in general. Which water park do you think sounds the best? Which one would you go to with friends or family? That's up to you and thank you for reading about which water parks are the best!
