Sarah Bray and Dr. James Adler get featured in a recent article on the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences website for their joint GIFT program.

GIFT, which stands for Graduate Institute for Teaching, is an intensive two phase teaching program for graduate students working towards their doctoral degree. The goal of the program is to prepare graduate students for an academic career in teaching at the university level. Doctoral candidates co-teach a course for a semester with a faculty member from their department. Phase one involves intensive lesson planning and pedagogy workshops during the summer while Phase Two is during the fall, when the lesson plans are implemented in a course.

Sarah co-taught Applied Calculus in the fall of 2015 with Dr. James Adler, and is currently working on her dissertation. She will be heading to University of Michigan this coming Fall, where she will be holding a postdoctoral position in Dynamical Systems.
