New officers elected for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Congratulations to Heather (President), Burns (Vice President), Melody (Treasurer), Anika (Secretary), Brendan (GSC Rep.), Lise (Senior Rep.), and Seth (2nd Year Rep.) on their elections into office!

Congrats to Dr. Adler, Pie-Eating Champion 2 years in a row!

With an impressive 324 grams, Dr. James Adler beat his competition to be the Pi Day Pie-Eating Champion for the second time in a row. Following close behind him in 2nd place was Seth, followed by Jon.  Pics are under "Photos," and you can check out the video here

Pi Day Pie-Eating Competition Announcement!

The pie-eating contest will take place on Pi Day (you know when that is!) at 4:30pm, location to be announced!  Hosted by the undergraduate Math Society.

Volunteer instructors for MISE Math Camp in Accra, Ghana have returned! (8/8/12)

Sarah Bray, Brendan Foley, Chris O'Donnell, and Melody Takeuchi spent 4 weeks in Accra, Ghana, teaching advanced math to top Ghanaian high school students at the MISE Math Camp.  Thanks also to Professor Moon Duchin for giving them the opportunity for the life-changing experience!

Congratulations to Dr. James Adler, current department Pie-Eating Champion!

On March 14, 2012, Dr. Adler defeated a panel of graduate students, undergraduate students, and faculty to become the undisputed Pie-Eating  Champion of the Tufts Department of Mathematics. Many thanks to James for carrying us to sweet, pastry-laden victory!  Watch the contest here.

OGSM has been voted "Outstanding Graduate Student Organization" for the 2010-2011 academic year.
