Review by a fan who was one of the 800 people invited in the show

I've got to report to you that last night I attended the taping of John's HBO special at the Warner Bros. Studios. It was an invited audience of about 800 and they had that wonderful "Blue Moon Swamp" set on the stage.

The show was terrific and the highlights for me were the inclusion of "Rockin' All Over the World," "Almost Saturday Night" and a dynamite new song which he debuted last night called "Premonition." The latter is one of his best compositions and an instant Fogerty classic. He joked that every ten years he gets around to writing a new song. He also kidded about "Rockin'" being from one of his many comeback albums. He was in a jovial mood, smiling and everything. Julie was in the audience too.

The HBO special is supposed to air in the spring and it should be great because they had lots of cameras and some really fancy and sophisticated technological devices.

The Fairfield Four and The Waters backed him on several songs. Fogerty was a bit nervous at first but he really came on strong and had the audience up on their feet. The show is being taped again tonight (Saturday) in the same location.
