Calidris temminckii

A single was seen by Sandi Bain (London Wildlife Trust area manager) during the afternoon of the 6th of August 2004 along the south shore of the west reservoir.

Number in Britain: 90 records/year

Status:

in London: rare passage migrant

in UK: Scarce breeder, Passage visitor

Habitat: Tundra, grassy meadows, on migration mudflats

Diet: Inland: insects, esp beetles and flies, On coasts: crustaceans, worms and molluscs
