Divine Providence Training Center
Hey, What's Everybody Looking At?
The tablets are a gift from very generous donors to the school. They are enabling learning to continue for our alumni long after classes and graduation are over. Each tablet has been lovingly downloaded with a Swahili Bible, Bible study tools, Bible studies, all kinds of resources for pastors, tons of Christian books and much, much more.
Harun Kimani, Class of 2012
Harun recently wrote this about the tablets:
"May the good God bless you and all others for the gift of the TABLET.
I am very grateful and it is of great help to me. I feel like I am still in
school for am learning. I have had time (to) read some books, for now
am reading HOW TO STUDY AND TEACH THE BIBLE and am enjoying every bit of it. Thank you very much and may GOD always bless and
guide you. We love you all and I pray for you because of
the good work you do."
It didn't take long for the alumni to discover that the tablets can take pictures too! The tablets will also be used to take pictures of our graduates' ministry events. The alumni will then send the pics to the DPTC Alumni Coordinator. What a great communication tool!
DPTC's Board Member Francis Wairagu had the enviable task of awarding a tablet to each graduate once Executive Director Paul Njuguna had awarded the diploma. Alumni from the first two classes were given tablets after the graduation ceremony.
Jane is receiving her diploma while Francis waits to award her tablet.
What a wonderful example of how donors can make a difference in the lives of our alumni. Once again, we THANK YOU for your prayers, your gifts, and your support. It means so much to the school and to each of our students and alumni.
Happy New Year from DPTC!
