Denmark Photos

Considering that my Grandfather kept this picture for years, I believe this to be the church that he was baptised and confirmed from.

Grandpa told the story that on the wayhome from school, he would take off his wooden shoes so that he could run a little faster during his daily shortcut across the cemetery by the church. This is probably the same church.

After Anton left Denmark, it was Eleonora that kept in touch with him over the years. Eleonora and Anton died within a few days of each other. Photo from ~1920s.

Photo of Rasmussen home back in Asnaes. My grandfather Anton said that he learned to swim when the other children threw him in the canel. Apparently, he didn't have to travel far to get thrown in. Photo from 1910s or early 1920s.
