The Hickling Local History Group was formed in the year 2000 and dissolved in December 2009. The contents of its physical archive were deposited in the Norfolk Record Office so that it would be preserved and accessible to all.
The archive can be viewed at the Norfolk Record Office Archive Centre, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DQ. Telephone: 01603 222599.
Much of the Group's research and its publications are on display both here and in St. Mary's parish church at Hickling, where there is a table set aside for researchers or browsers to sit quietly and study.
We trust that you will find much useful information here; also direction to other sources for your continued research. We are extremely grateful to all who have contributed to the research, information, and the many drawings and images that are published here and to those who gave permission for us to publish their work. Please observe the authors' & artists' rights and the copyright of the material.
