Summer is upon us and we won’t have another general meeting until September 13.

August Field Trip

Our August Field Trip will be to Dry Canyon in the Whetstones. Henri checked the road recently and it is in pretty good shape. High clearance needed, but we can consolidate as needed at the base of the canyon.

We can drive to within a quarter of a mile from the fossil bearing hill. 4WD can drive to the bottom of the hill.

We will meet at the parking lot behind Gas City at Highway 90 and I-10 on Saturday August 14 at 8.30am, leave at 8:45.

Lapidary and Silversmith Classes

We can now resume our lapidary activities and classes, so if you’re interested call Larry Strout at 826-3991.

Dues are past due. Unpaid members were dropped on March 31. To rejoin, mail your check to Sunsites Gem & Mineral Club, PO Box 87, Pearce, Arizona 85625.
