May 10, 2021: General Meeting at 7:00 PM at Sunsites Community Center. We will be featuring a presentation about the geology of the Black Hills Rockhounding area by local resident, Cindy Humphries. We look forward to seeing you for that interesting and educational event! Admission is $1 per person.

December 14, 2020: General Meeting. Presentation about COURTLAND GHOST TOWN - Yesterday and Today, by Cindy Humpries and Michael Oster. Also, election of Club officers for 2021 was conducted.

March 9, 2020: General meeting at Sunsites Community Center, 1216 E. Treasure Rd, Pearce. In lieu of a speaker, members and non-members are invited to bring rocks they would like to show, or rocks they would like help identifying, for our “Rock Around the Table” session.
No organized field trip planned for February, but members are encouraged to visit the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, which runs through the first two weeks of February. More details to be found in the club newsletter.
February 10, 2020: Presentation at 7:00 PM at Sunsites Community Center, 1216 E. Treasure Rd, Pearce. Dr. Larry Fellows, retired head of AZ Geological Survey will give a presentation on the Geology of the Grand Canyon. Presentation will be followed by a general membership meeting.
February 3, 2020: SSGMC Board meeting. Location to be determined.
January 25, 2020: Field trip to Black Hills Rockhound collecting area north of Safford. Non-members welcome, but have to pay $5 fee per person to over insurance. Meet at Willcox Safeway at 9:00 AM and we will carpool from there (high clearance vehicles required to access the collecting site)
