Muesli Recipe

Glenn’s Muesli Recipe

· 3 cups of rolled oats (not quick cooking)

· 1 cup of other grain (rye, or other) this adds some flavour

· ½ cup of bran (oats, wheat)

· ½ cup of wheat germ

· 1 cup of raisins

· 1 cup of almonds (slivers or slices)

· ½ cup sesame seeds

· ½ cup raw sunflower seeds

· ½ cup raw pumpkin seeds

I normally add these:

· ½ cup flax seeds (best ground)

· ½ cup chia seeds (grind these), hemp, seeds

Vary all of the above to taste. Quantities are guidelines only. Oats/Bran/Wheat Germ/Raisins/Seeds form the core of the recipe.

SERVE: with milk and sliced banana (or other available fruit). Add milk powder for camping trips and just add water. Some people prefer muesli with yogurt.
