July 4th Trivia Game

Post date: Jun 30, 2017 12:33:19 PM

Here is another trivia game built entirely in Excel.

We use these games as part of our team building. One way to build better office team relationships is to participate in friendly competition. Here is a simple quiz that tests peoples' knowledge about USA's Independence Day.

We use this sort of thing in our office. We get five $2 lottery tickets (scratchers). We start the contest by emailing a link to this trivia game. After about 30 minutes, the contest ends. Of the responses emailed back to me we give lottery tickets to the person:

  • Who first emailed a result

  • With the first perfect score

  • With the fastest completion time

    • With the fastest perfect score completion time

We then randomly draw the name of someone who participated but did not win anything and they too, get a lottery ticket.

Want to play? Here is the game:

No - this is not gambling. The ticket givers are not gambling because we have nothing to win. The ticket winners aren't gambling because they have nothing to lose.
