Sororities

Through their time here on the R-MC campus, women's Greek organizations have greatly contributed to the social culture and philanthropy both in the community and on the Randolph-Macon College campus.

Kappa Alpha Theta

Founded in 1870 as the first greek fraternity for women, Kappa Alpha Theta has been a cornerstone of the greek community at large. Its sisters live and embody the organization's core values of personal excellence, sisterhood, scholarship, service, and leadership in their communities and respective campuses. Theta was installed at Randolph-Macon in 1984 and quickly became established on campus.

Theta provides continued support for its philanthropy CASA or Cour Appointed Special Advocates. They host a variety of awareness and fundraising events to raise money for the cause, most notably a Pasta for CASA and Cookout for CASA.

Alpha Gamma Delta

Alpha Gamma Delta was founded in 1904 at Syracuse University. The women's fraternity strives to advance characteristics of leadership, philanthropy, personal development, and sisterhood to improve the lives and communities of those around them. Coming to Randolph-Macon soon after Kappa Alpha Theta in 1987, Alpha Gamma Delta planted roots on campus and as played significant role in the Greek community on campus.

In addition to promoting community development, Alpha Gamma Delta partners with Meals on Wheels and Feeding America to raise awareness of hunger in America as well as provide meals to those affected. Their annual events such as Mac and Cheese with AGD help accomplish this purpose with the help of the student body.

Delta Zeta

In 1902, six women came together to form the organization now known as Delta Zeta. The sorority focuses on the pursuit of knowledge, the social and moral culture of their sisters, as well as guidance towards unified action. Delta Zeta was founded at Randolph-Macon College in 1991. In 2019 they were awarded the most oustanding international DZ chapter given every 6 years.

The Delta Zeta philanthropy supports a "Heart for Hearing" through the Starkey Hearing Foundation providing assistance and accomodations for those suffering from hearing disabilities. They hold fundraisers such as Hot Dogs for Hearing and the male beauty pageant Big Man on Campus.

Alpha Kappa Alpha

Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded in 1908 at Howard univeristy. As part of the "Divine Nine," it is the only current NPCH organization at Randolph-Macon since its arrival in 2009. The organization focuses on the professional development of its members as well as the effective advocacy for social change.
