Past events hosted: Neon diversity event with 100+ students from the district in attendance, OAA presenter 2023, school-wide SPAWBA Inclusion Week, international zoom meetings, Volunteer work with Detroit school, and more!

Once a month, SPAWBA connects with students outside of IA to talk about one of the following topics:

Education- Improve student engagement and effort towards their studies. This includes bettering educational material to better fit students for future life, helping them solve problems and understand their surroundings. 

Equality- creating an environment in which all students feel equally important to their school, not allowing students to feel at a disadvantage due to uncontrollable variables such as race, wealth, the gender they adhere to and more. 

Inclusion- creating an inclusive environment by establishing a tightly bonded school that allows everyone to fully participate and feel valued. 

Diversity- creating a school that values everyone’s differences, beliefs and opinions, nurturing and developing them to create individuality.

Safety- developing a school in which students and staff feel secure in their environment and with their peers at all times.
