Graduate Students

Graduate students in Dr. Richard D. Harvey's Collective Identity lab are from two sub-fields of psychology: Industrial / Organizational Psychology and Experimental Social Psychology. The lab is named the "Collective Identity Lab" because it is a collective of students from different fields interested in the common themes of identity & identification in different contexts. All graduate students are pursuing a Ph.D. in their respective fields.

Industrial Organizational (I/O) Psychology

Often referred to as the "psychology of business," I/O psychology focuses on organizations, including concepts such as employee retention, job satisfaction, and workplace culture.

Experimental Social Psychology

This field may be referred to as the "psychology of the average person." This is a field which studies how the average person 's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by others. This field can be applied to many different contexts, including politics, culture, and race.
