Recycle Bank Customers - Help Bellevue, NE win a $100,000 grant by recycling!

Great news! Bellevue, NE has been chosen to participate in the Recyclebank and SC Johnson Green Choices Recycling Challenge, a nationwide competition to get us all recycling. By joining in, you could help us get a $100,000 grant towards a community environment project(s)! Approximately 5,000 residential homes in Bellevue are eligible to participate as our "challenge households."

If you are signed up with Papillion Sanitation's "Rewards for Recycling" program that comes with a recyclebank rewards account, AND you live in 68005 north of Mission Street, you are eligible to participate in the challenge! However, participating is different because you already have a rewards account and all others are just now opening one for the challenge.

Here is how you participate. First, you must make sure your email settings in your recyclebank on-line account are set to allow RecycleBank to send you emails for "US Rewards & New Offers".

To do this:

1. Log onto your account at www.Recyclebank.com (you may have to set up an account using the easy step-by-step instructions)

2. In the top right corner, click on your user name and a drop down menu with “My Account” can be seen. Click on “My Account”

3. Click on the “Account Settings” tab

4. Scroll down and click on the “Edit” button next to “Email Preferences”

5. Check on the box for “US Rewards & New Offers” and click “Save”

Once your settings are updated, you will receive an email from Recyclebank on a monthly basis to report your recycling. If your settings are not updated by Monday, July 23rd then you will miss reporting for July.

Thank you for the extra effort you have taken to recycle and to participate in the challenge!

If you can take the time to hand out flyers in your neighborhood that goes over how to register for the challenge for those who have the regular "blue bin" recycling and how to recycle, please get in touch with Ruth Richter who will provide flyers, a volunteer badges and any other guidance you need.
