Course Reps

I will always carry with me a remarkable experience of having a privilege to sit together in the same room with experienced lecturers and being treated like a mature adult. Honestly, the serious and formal atmosphere of the meetings still haunts me - I remember hoping for an ice-breaking moment to happen as soon as it could. Yet, it was enjoyable to see everyone actively and passionately working towards ways to benefit and improve the college lives of fellow classmates and the study environment. Besides, it allowed me to face my own hidden, unspoken fear of speaking in the meeting and the rewarding relief after my voice is heard and acknowledged is quite immense.  

I enjoyed collecting feedback from my classmates and getting to know them better through their experiences and opinions. It was rewarding to represent their concerns and help improve the student experience. The role also helped me grow in confidence and communication skills while feeling more connected to the university community. 

What I enjoyed most as a Course Rep was having the opportunity to organize our Masquerade Ball. It was a truly fantastic experience to bring the student community together for such a special and memorable evening. Seeing everyone having a great time and enjoying the results of our hard work was incredibly rewarding. It had been a dream of mine for a long time, and I am so happy I finally made it happen!
