Pharmacies in the UK are specialised shops that sell medicine that you may need for different conditions. For the ones listed below, you do not need a prescription and you can simply ask the Pharmacist for advice and buy them over the counter.
For other more serious illnesses - you will need to see a doctor first to get a prescription, which will allow you to buy the needed medicine from the Pharmacy.
If you find yourself suffering from any of the following examples, a pharmacy will be able to advise on the best course of treatment:

Coughs, colds and flu 咳嗽,感冒,流感
Tummy troubles 肚子疼,消化问题
Aches and pains 疼痛

Appointments
Once everything is in place you will receive a letter with your NHS number.
Once you are registered with a doctor, you should be able to use Patient Access to make and cancel appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view your medical records all online.
To do this you will need to visit the Unity Health branch closest to you with a form of Photo ID, alternatively, you can download the NHS App which can verify your identity and do this for you without you having to visit the practice.
This often works much better than trying to make an appointment by telephone.

If you have lived in the UK in the past and are now returning. They need to know 3 things: 1 - Your old address in the UK. 2 - The date you first arrived in the UK. 3 - The date you left the UK before coming back.

These are compulsory and so registration cannot be completed without this information. Further information is not compulsory but it is preferable that you fill out as much as possible to ensure Unity Health's optimisation of care – particularly questions surrounding alcohol consumption, and illness history.
